History of the Symposium:
from concept to implementation of global projects
HISTORY
The International Scientific Symposium is not just an annual event, but a whole epoch in the development of modern science.
Starting as a small platform for the exchange of ideas between scientists, it has grown into a large-scale international platform that brings together researchers from all over the world.
The unique atmosphere of the symposium, combining academic rigor with a creative approach to solving scientific problems, attracts a new generation of researchers. Here promising projects are born, professional connections are established and scientific schools of the future are formed.
Every year, the symposium confirms its status as an important event in scientific life, continuing its traditions and opening up new horizons for the development of the international scientific community.

Beginning of the history of the International Symposium "Rare and Rare Earth Elements"
In 2014, a significant event in the scientific life of Russia and Armenia took place - the first International Symposium "Rare and Rare Earth Elements: Extraction, separation and modern materials"was organized. The symposium was an important step in combining scientific and educational potential and industrial production in the field of rare earth metals.
The event was organized by the Siberian Institute of Physics and Technology named after Academician V. D. Kuznetsov of Tomsk State University with the support of the National Academy of the Republic of Armenia. The symposium brought together representatives of leading scientific schools: the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, leading Russian universities, as well as representatives of industrial enterprises of both countries.
The event was particularly significant due to the fact that in 2014 large-scale projects in the field of rare earth metals were launched on the basis of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" (Moscow) and the National Research Tomsk State University. An important feature of the first symposium was the active participation of young scientists and postgraduates, who were identified as the future of scientific research in this area.
The symposium laid the foundation for further development of international cooperation and integration of scientific developments in the field of rare and rare earth elements, becoming a platform for discussing the current state of the rare earth industry from a scientific and industrial point of view.
This event opened a new page in the history of scientific cooperation between Russia and Armenia, marking the beginning of regular international forums aimed at developing high-tech industries and scientific research in the field of rare earth metals.
